The Beaumont
Privacy Policy
Effective 6 August 2026 · Riccarton Road, Christchurch
The Beaumont respects your privacy. This policy explains what personal information we collect, why we collect it, how we look after it, and your rights — in line with the New Zealand Privacy Act 2020 and its Information Privacy Principles.
Who we are
The Beaumont is a private members’ workspace on Riccarton Road, Christchurch. If you have any questions about this policy or your information, contact us at hello@thebeaumont.co.nz.
What we collect
We only collect what we need to consider your membership and stay in touch:
- Details you give us in the application — your name, the business or idea you’re building, the “why” behind it, your stage, what a seat would change for you, and your contact details (email and, if you choose, phone).
- Basic, non-identifying website analytics — such as pages viewed and general location — if analytics is enabled, to understand how the site is used.
We do not ask for sensitive information, and we don’t collect payment details through this site.
Why we collect it
To read and consider your application, to reply to you, and — if the fit is right — to invite you in and talk about membership. That’s all.
How it’s stored and who can see it
Applications are submitted through our website host, Netlify, and stored securely in our account; only The Beaumont team can read them. If analytics is enabled, aggregate data may be processed by our analytics provider. We do not sell your information, and we don’t share it with anyone else except where the law requires it.
How long we keep it
We keep your application only as long as we reasonably need it to consider your membership and for our records. You can ask us to delete it at any time.
Your rights
Under the Privacy Act 2020 you can:
- Access the personal information we hold about you.
- Ask us to correct anything that’s wrong.
- Ask us to delete your information.
Email hello@thebeaumont.co.nz and we’ll help.
Cookies & analytics
This site is deliberately light. We use no more than is needed to run it and, where enabled, privacy-respecting analytics to see which pages people visit. We don’t use tracking to build a profile of you.
Complaints
If you’re not happy with how we’ve handled your information, please tell us first so we can put it right. You can also contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner (privacy.org.nz).
Changes
If we update this policy we’ll change the date at the top. Please check back from time to time.
